RubyGems is a package manager for the Ruby programming language. It provides a self-contained format in which developers can distribute Ruby programs and libraries.<\/p>\n

To install a Ruby Gem<\/h3>\n

The Ruby Gem Installer feature allows you to search for, download and install a\u00a0Ruby Gem.<\/p>\n

To search for and install a\u00a0Ruby Gem, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

  1. Log into your cPanel account.<\/li>\n
  2. Under the Software and Services<\/em> section, click on RubyGems<\/strong>.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. The RubyGems installer<\/strong> interface will then load.<\/li>\n
  4. To find a module to install , enter a search term in the available text box and click\u00a0Go<\/strong>.\"search\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. You can also click on the Show Available Modules<\/strong> button to view available Ruby Gems.\"show\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. The interface displays the following information for all of the displayed Ruby Gems:\"Screenshot<\/a>\n

    • Module Name<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 this displays the name of the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
    • Description<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 this displays a description of the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
    • Actions<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 this displays the actions that you may perform for that Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Click\u00a0Install<\/strong>\u00a0next to the\u00a0Ruby Gem that you wish to download and install. You can also view a Ruby Gem\u2019s documentation by clicking Show Docs<\/strong> next to that Ruby Gem.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • If you already know the name of the\u00a0Ruby Gem that you wish to install, enter the name in the\u00a0Install a\u00a0Ruby Gem<\/em> text box and click\u00a0Install Now<\/strong>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Installed Ruby Gem(s)<\/h3>\n

      The\u00a0Installed\u00a0Ruby Gem(s)<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>table displays a list of all the Ruby Gems that exist on your server. For each installed Ruby Gem, the table displays the following information:<\/p>\n

      1. Module Name<\/strong> – the name of the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
      2. Version<\/strong> – the version number of the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
      3. Actions<\/strong> – contains the actions that you can perform on each Ruby Gem. The actions are:\n

        • Update<\/em>: to update the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
        • Reinstall<\/em>: to reinstall the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
        • Uninstall<\/em>: to uninstall the Ruby Gem.<\/li>\n
