Legacy File Manager is another interface that allows cPanel users to access, view, edit, add and delete files on their cPanel account. It is a fast and simple way to navigate through your files. The\u00a0Legacy File Manager\u00a0interface offers file manipulation options in an older web-based interface. The Legacy File Manager is provided for legacy purposes only. Users who are already familiar with an older version of cPanel may decide to use the\u00a0Legacy File Manager<\/em>\u00a0interface rather than the newer interface, the File Manager<\/a>.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

You can access the Legacy File Manager by simply following the steps below:<\/p>\n

  1. Log into your cPanel account.<\/li>\n
  2. In the Files<\/em> section, click on the Legacy<\/strong> File Manager<\/strong> icon.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. A dialogue box will appear where you will be asked to select the directory with which you wish to open the Legacy File Manager.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Select Web Root (public_html\/www)<\/strong> and check the Show Hidden Files(dotfiles) <\/strong>box to view hidden files.<\/li>\n
  5. Check the\u00a0Skip this question<\/strong> box if you do not want to see the\u00a0Legacy File Manager Directory Selection<\/em>\u00a0window again. Anytime you log into the Legacy File Manager, it will always open the directory you chose initially.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the Go<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
