GnuPG is a publicly available encryption scheme that uses the “public key” approach.\u00a0If you want to receive an encrypted mail from someone, you need to give them your public key as this will be used to perform the encryption.\u00a0You will then decrypt the mail with your own private key.\u00a0This feature helps in sending emails with sensitive information, as without a private key, it\u2019s nearly impossible to decode the message.\u00a0You must keep your private key secret from everyone, but you may give your public key to anyone who wants it.<\/p>\n

To create a new GnuPG key, follow the instructions:<\/p>\n
