If you have articles\u00a0for your website with the name “articles”, you can create a subdomain that is accessible through the URL articles.cloudhost.com.ng<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>in addition to\u00a0www.cloudhost.com.ng\/articles.\u00a0<\/strong>It is quite easy to create a memorable web\u00a0address for unique content areas of your site by using subdomains.<\/p>\n

Many people use subdomains for mobile versions for their website, forums, blogs, and stores. Subdomains are easily created in your cPanel. Now, let us go through the steps for creating a subdomain.<\/p>\n

Creating a Subdomain<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Log into your cPanel account.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to Domains<\/strong> section and click on the Subdomains<\/strong> icon.<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Type in the name of the subdomain you wish to create and select the domain you wish to create it under.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. A folder will be automatically created under the public_html directory for the subdomain.<\/li>\n
  5. Click on Create<\/strong>. You will see a message showing that the subdomain has been created.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note that your subdomain will not show on the web until after about two days or more.<\/p>\n

    Modifying a Subdomain<\/strong><\/p>\n

    To modify a subdomain document root<\/p>\n

    1. Log into cPanel.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on Subdomains<\/strong> under the Domains<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the new page that loads. There, you will see a list of subdomains you have created.<\/li>\n
    4. Click on the notepad icon under the subdomain you want to change its document root. \"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
    5. Type in the new file\u00a0path\u00a0you want in the Document Root<\/strong> box.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
    6. Click on Change<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      To enable a subdomain redirection<\/p>\n
