An FTP account is used for creating and managing files on your website. If you have an active hosting plan, an FTP account will be automatically created in your cPanel. You can get your hosting service here<\/a>.\u00a0Creating\u00a0new FTP accounts is useful if you wish to give access to other users without giving them your cPanel login details. They can also upload files on your account \u00a0through those FTP accounts.<\/p>\n

So to create your additional FTP Accounts,<\/p>\n

  1. Log into your cPanel Accoun<\/a>t.<\/li>\n
  2. Locate the FTP Accounts<\/strong> icon which is in the File section.\"Screenshot<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. You will be directed to a new page.\"Screenshot<\/a>

  4. Fill in\u00a0the name of the user in the Login<\/strong>\u00a0box.<\/li>\n
  5. In the Password<\/strong> box, fill in a strong password for your account. You can also click on Password Generator<\/strong> and cPanel will generate a strong password for you.<\/li>\n
  6. In the box which says Password(again<\/strong>), retype your password.<\/li>\n
  7. In the Directory<\/strong> box, fill in the name of the directory you wish\u00a0the FTP account will have access. It is recommended that you erase everything after public_html\/\u00a0<\/em>and type in the directory you wish to be accessed by the users.<\/li>\n
  8. Fill in the quota for the FTP account. Quota is the maximum amount of bandwidth a user can use.<\/li>\n
  9. Click on Create FTP Account.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
