Here, we assume that you are logged into your cPanel account and you have accessed the File Manager. If you are new to cPanel, you may be confused. Here, we have the basic functions for managing your files and folders. It contains functions for creating new files, copying, editing, uploading\/downloading of files and much more.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Section 2<\/span>: this is the <strong>Current Folder Contents<\/strong>. It is also known as the file listing selection. It displays the contents of the current directory you are in.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Section 3<\/span>: this is the <strong>File Tree<\/strong>. It is an expansible list of the folders in your account and shows the visual representation of how your files are structured. It also allows navigation between folders in the file window.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Section 4<\/span>: this is the <strong>Location Section<\/strong>. It displays the directory you are currently located in and you can also specify a path here to navigate to somewhere else.<\/p>\n<p>To enter a folder and view the files in it<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the blue folder icon next to the name of the folder in the File Listing Section.<\/li>\n<li>You can also click on the yellow folder icon in the File Tree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To leave a folder<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Just at the top of the File Listing Section, click on the Up One Level icon. You will be placed in the parent folder of the one you are presently in.<\/li>\n<li>You can also click on the file you wish to go to in the File Tree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To expand a directory<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the + sign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To collapse a directory<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the &#8211; sign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now you don&#8217;t have to feel lost when you enter your cPanel File Manager.
