Encryption in cPanel

17201

GnuPG is a publicly available encryption scheme that uses the “public key” approach. If you want to receive an encrypted mail from someone, you need to give them your public key as this will be used to perform the encryption. You will then decrypt the mail with your own private key. This feature helps in sending emails with sensitive information, as without a private key, it’s nearly impossible to decode the message. You must keep your private key secret from everyone, but you may give your public key to anyone who wants it.
